Peerless, beautiful, and loved by all, Queen Nimri is the pride and joy of her realm. The War of Illusion officially began with her capture at the hands of Morgan. “Capture” is not the most accurate term, however. In her mind, consorting so closely with the man who thought himself her greatest enemy was a fine strategy, and she consented in full to the supposed abduction.
Though initially at odds in terms of politics, ideology, and allegiance, Morgan and Nimri are slowly discovering just how much they can offer one another. Theirs is a bond forged in the fires of war, and tempered by respect, understanding, and an unwavering desire to protect and affirm. Nimri once went by another name, but after learning from Morgan what the trees call her, decided that “Nimri” better suited her, and Morgan agrees. How their bond will grow and change when the war ends, and how it will impact the very fabric of society, remains to be seen.
